Nordin Blacker is a private judge, mediator, special master, and consultant in family law matters. Nordin has been a California State Bar Certified Family Law Specialist for more than 35 years. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Throughout his 50+ years in practice, Nordin has actively shared his experience with the Bay Area legal community. He has taught and guest-lectured at law schools, such as Stanford, the University of Santa Clara, the University of San Francisco, and Golden Gate University. He has been a panelist on a wide range of legal topics including children and divorce, substance abuse in divorce cases, premarital agreements, trial practice and legal ethics. Nordin also served as a part-time United States Magistrate in San Jose from 1971 to 1986, concurrent with his family law practice. Most recently, he has co-authored a chapter in the Continuing Education of the Bar practice guide, Crossover Issues in Estate Planning and Family Law, 2011-2015.

Nordin continues to serve as an Early Neutral Evaluator in Federal Civil cases, a Settlement Master for the San Francisco Superior Court, and a mentor to family law attorneys for the Justice and Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco.

In his leisure time, Nordin enjoys his family, gardening, opera, travel, food and wine.
